Gina earned Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Gender Studies from Pacific Lutheran University and has a passion for making meaningful connections and building community. They have been a leader in organizing and facilitating conversations on diversity, justice, and sustainability in all the communities they call home: Colorado, Washington, and now happily Tucson. Gina practices ceramics and other craft projects in their free time. They are excited to connect and learn more about the Tucson community through TIHAN.

Neil MacDonald

Neil MacDonald

Program Coordinator

Neil brings 17 years of experience serving people living with HIV, blending technical expertise with deep community commitment. He most recently led the Data to Care program at the University of Arizona’s Petersen Clinic, focusing on data systems, grants, and workflows to help people reengage in care. Previously, he managed dental and health insurance programs at the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation. Neil believes people deserve care that honors their experiences. He’s seen how a referral or care package can change a life. Outside work, he enjoys woodworking, welding, cooking, and exploring Arizona’s deserts—activities that ground his compassionate approach.

As TIHAN’s Program Coordinator, Neil is responsible for leading the Link Program along with additional direct support services for CarePartners living with HIV, as well as the volunteer outreach and onboarding for the agency.  Neil can be reached at ProgramCoordinator@tihan.org or (520) 299-6647 ext 207.

As a lifelong learner and dedicated community advocate, Kristen brings a wealth of experience in volunteer management, community engagement, and program development to her work with TIHAN. Originally from Indiana, Kristen spent many years in New England before making Tucson her home over 20 years ago. In her time here, she has worked with organizations such as the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and Family Housing Resources, where she has been a passionate champion for community empowerment. Outside of her professional life, Kristen enjoys cooking, traveling, music, and spending time outdoors.

With a wide-ranging background in education, law, counseling, media, LGBTQ+ issues, and volunteer management, Scott helped found TIHAN in 1994 as a means of supporting the community to address the growing crisis of HIV affecting our community, and the accompanying issues of religious homophobia.

With his passion for equality and justice issues, Scott is active in many groups and organizations in the community, advocating and working to build bridges of understanding. He has been featured in many print and television stories, and is the recipient of many community awards for his leadership and contributions.

Scott’s position with TIHAN currently involves overall day-to-day management of the organization and its operations and programs, along with working with the board of directors, as well as development, community and congregational relations responsibilities.
