Our annual meeting is in-person this year, gathering TIHAN’s dedicated volunteers and community business, faith and organizational partners, and CarePartners living with HIV. Our event theme this year is “Circles of Care,” and the event format will be different than previous years, helping us connect. Donations Of Toilet Tissue for Our CarePartners is Greatly Appreciated
Are you able to pick up a few extra toiletries on your next shopping trip and donate them to TIHAN for people living with HIV? Every month, each CarePartner living with HIV can receive a CarePackage filled with toiletry, personal care, and cleaning items.
We distribute over 200 CarePackages each month, and we count on your donations of items. Right now we are especially in need of toilet tissue to add to our CarePackages. Most of our CarePartners with HIV live on low income and are in need of these items that they are unable to purchase using Nutrition Assistance (previously known as food stamps).
You can drop off these items at the TIHAN office at 2660 N 1st Avenue on Mon-Fri between 8:30a-4:30p. Donation receipts are provided for you to document for your taxes. Thank you!
Gay Rodeo 2023 – Join Us to Support this Fundraising Event
For many years, TIHAN has been blessed to be one of the charity beneficiaries of the Arizona Gay Rodeo Association. The Arizona Gay Rodeo 37th annual gay rodeo will take place in Phoenix on Presidents Day Weekend (February 17-19, 2023) at the Corona Ranch and Rodeo Grounds.
You are invited to join for fun, food, entertainment, and of course, RODEO! Enjoy traditional rodeo events and some fun “camp” events too. Admission is $20 for the day.
TIHAN is gathering a team of people to volunteer for a few hours (taking tickets at the door or other outdoor volunteer roles) on either Saturday or Sunday. If you’d like to join us to volunteer a few hours at the rodeo, please contact scott@tihan.org. Volunteers get free admission for the day.
For more info, visit www.agra-phx.com. Thanks to AGRA, a volunteer group that produces this annual rodeo to benefit local LGBTQ+ and HIV charities.
Outdoor Red Concert Benefits HIV Programs in Tucson as Well as Globally
Join us for a night of music under the stars with music from the band Good Trouble on Sunday, April 2, the doors open at 4pm, and the show starts at 5pm. Advance tickets for the benefit concert are on sale for $25!
Good Trouble is Tucson’s popular variety dance band – playing all your Classic Rock, Motown, R/B, Pop and Country favs – from the 60’s – 90s. Check out their website with video clips here.
And this year’s new event venue is Three Canyon Beer and Wine Garden, a beautiful outdoor spot with fire pits, food and spirits on Tucson’s northeast side.
Proceeds from the concert jointly benefit the programs and services of TIHAN (serving people with HIV here in Tucson) and the Center for Health and Hope (providing support services to people affected by HIV globally).
Sponsorship levels range from $100 to $1,500 – to make a tax-deductible donation or for sponsorship information and payment, or for additional information, contact event chair Jess Losoya at jesslosoya48@gmail.com or 520-447-6852.
Join us on April 2 at Three Canyon (4999 N Sabino Canyon Road) for a great evening of music, food, and beverage to support people living with HIV. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-red-concert-2023-tickets-544633913697

A Drag Show/Game Show Benefit for TIHAN at Sky Bar – March 12th
Jessica Michaels, Bianca Difonsi, and Isis D. Frost are coming together on March 12th at 7pm at Sky Bar (536 N 4th Avenue) for a special benefit event for TIHAN.
This benefit is a return of the popular Top 100 event, an interactive-style drag show. It consists of traditional drag entertainment and performances BUT also has a twist. There will be a wall of challenges.
Throughout the show when people donate, they will get to choose an envelope and pick a queen to do the challenge. Challenges range from having the queens switch outfits, take a shot of pickle juice, put on lipstick without looking, a water bucket challenge, and more!
It promises to be a great show and a fun time!
